Becca Randell

I am a Children’s Digital Consultant, founder of Empowering Digital Lives and author. I support parents and professionals, including teachers, to help both themselves and children and young people thrive online by promoting healthy digital habits, online safety, digital literacy and postiive digital mental health and resilience.

I am an international speaker and thought leader in digital mental health and AI. As Mental Health Lead for Health Innovation Network, I am highly experienced in implementing cutting edge mental health digital research and innovation into real world practice.

I started my career as a special needs teacher and I have over 25 years’ experience of commissioning children’s services across NHS and local authority. I am a Honorary Senior Research Fellow at University of Sussex and have undertaken extensive research with children, young people, parents and professionals which has inspired me to create these digital wellbeing resources.

As both a parent of 2 children and a Children’s Digital Consultant, I am passionate about enhancing digital wellbeing outcomes for children, young people, parents, and professionals. My work focuses on designing and delivering interventions that foster healthy, balanced relationships with technology and empower families and practitioners alike in navigating the digital world safely and positively.

I am Vice President of a Dementia Support and trustee of Stonepillow, a local homeless charity.  I have a deep love of travel, often choosing to step away from the digital world to reconnect with different cultures across the world.
